The perspective of a snack food must be terrifying. Imagine, for a moment, darkness. Now imagine It’s all you know. A wall of thin, flexible material from which you can’t escape surrounds you at all times, all-encompassing, all-consuming. You can’t move, frozen in place in a strange prison where you must simply exist. Occasionally, you hear the cacophonous murmurs of demons outside the walls. What are they? What do they want?

As the demonic chatter comes and goes, your motionlessness is periodically interrupted by the tendrils from one of the eldritch horrors plucking you from your resting place and taking you on a short journey. You do not know where you are going. You do not know where you are. Only the protection from the walls brings you comfort. You have no mouth, and you must scream.

Desperately seeking salvation, you begin worshipping the walls and pray to them these beasts bring you no harm. The walls occasionally crinkle as you sit stagnant against your claustrophobic abode. Are the walls trying to communicate with you? Although totalitarian, you realize these walls offer you euphoric safety. After a while, the chatter remarkably disappears. You thank your newfound lord for this moment of respite. It seems your prayers have been answered. You stay unmoving for an eternity, and you enter a deep sleep.

Eons pass.

Suddenly, without warning, the walls rip apart in a maelstrom of chaos. You have no way to express the sheer terror injected inside the fabric of your consciousness as new shapes and cosmic visions dance around you and converge into a pinpoint of a brand new reality, introducing light into your world. A demon has you in its grasp, pulling you towards a gaping black hole of impossible color and vibrant flesh. Your birth from your secure chamber turns to your death as you are ripped apart viciously by a a god, the pain too legendary to grasp or bear. The light collapses once again into darkness, and the hands of fate bring no exoneration to tumultuous turmoil as your destiny is fulfilled.

As your reality fades, you hear one last breathe from the universe. “Ew, I didn’t know this had raisins in it”.
